Katô: Dreams of Dark Earth Trailer Release ✨

Deep in the Tapajós River basin of the Brazilian Amazon, the Munduruku people of Sawré Muybu stand at the frontline of resistance.
Katô: Dreams of Dark Earth travels into a world where forest, river, and soil are not resources but living archives of memory. Where the dark ancestral earth, Katô, holds the dreams, histories, and spiritual continuity of a people who have endured centuries of colonial violence and now face the relentless assault of illegal logging and gold mining.
When the state fails to act, the community rises.
From grassroots self-demarcation to a women-led media collective turning cameras into tools of resistance, the Munduruku defend their territory not only as land but as identity, as knowledge, as life itself. The fight to protect the Amazon is not symbolic. It is embodied. It is urgent. And it is planetary.
Through ancestral strength and collective action, Katô reminds us: the rainforest is not empty. It is inhabited, remembered, defended. And its protection is inseparable from the future of us all.
Stand in solidarity with the peoples of the Tapajós River basin.
