MarediModa 2025 in Cannes: Style, and Sustainability Made in Europe - Fashion Channel Chronicle The Palais des Festivals in Cannes once again set the stage for MarediModa, the leading international trade fair for beachwear, lingerie, and athleisure fabrics made in Europe. The 2025 edition, held from October 22nd to 24th, confirmed the show’s growing importance, recording a 3% increase in attendance and an even higher quality of visitors. According to MarediModa president Claudio Taiana, this year’s event attracted more top-tier buyers than ever before, especially from the high and upper-medium market segments, including major international fashion houses and luxury groups. Italy led the visitor rankings with 30%, followed by France, a rapidly rising Spain, the United Kingdom, and Germany. Smaller brands and start-ups, however, showed a slight decline. A highlight of this 23rd edition was the Spring/Summer 2027 trend presentation, curated by trend forecaster David Shah and titled “Making Waves” — an invitation to challenge conventions and make a lasting impact in the fashion world. Among the key partners, Lycra once again stood out. In its Brand Lounge, the company showcased a capsule collection featuring garments made with Lycra renewable EcoMade, a fiber partially derived from plant-based materials that maintains the same performance as the original Lycra while reducing environmental impact. The display included nine Arena swimwear pieces and five athleisure outfits by Carvico — all soon to be available commercially. Once again, MarediModa proved to be much more than a trade fair — it’s a celebration of creativity, sustainability, and the European excellence that continues to shape the future of beachwear and athleisure fashion.
